Book-descriptionThe book tells the story of two persons who are among the most discussed in the history of the German motorcycle, Friedel Münch and Helmut Fath. Time and again they demonstrated that their motorcycles belong to the most exclusive and best ever built. Next, I discuss virtually all projects and motorcycles that Münch worked on. Other motorcycle makes that have ground in common with Friedel Münch, such as Horex, Indian and NSU, are mentioned as well. Helmut Fath’s URS-project, which was realised together with Peter Kuhn, is described extensively. Furthermore, other people who worked together with Friedel Münch are dealt with, such as Floyd Clymer, George Bell, Karl Klein, Bob Harrold, Heinz W. Henke, Thomas Petsch, Ferdinand Kaczor, Horst Owesle, John Blanchard, Karl Hoppe, Jens Hallhuber, the Rickman Brothers and all others who were part of the Münch history. Finally, the only real competitor of Münch motorcycles, the Van Veen, is also mentioned. I have written the book in chronological order, so as to provide the history as clearly as possible. This should make “Mit Herz und Seele’ a complete reference work for anyone interested in the history of the Münch and URS makes.
